Acer palmatum 'Emerald Lace'
'Emerald Lace' is a vigorous, mound-forming, decidous shrub with arching branches bearing rounded, lobed, deeply and finely cut, bright green leaves turning shades of red in autumn. Small, pendent clusters of tiny, reddish-purple flowers in spring are followed by red-winged fruit in summer.
Grow in moist but well-drained, acid or neutral soil. Foliage colour is best in part shade, although full sun is tolerated. Leaf scorch can be caused by dry soil or excessive exposure to frost, sun or wind when leaves are young. Will reach a height of 3m and a spread of 3m after 10-20 years
