Nerine bowdenii (Bowden-Cornish lily)

N. bowdenii has strap-shaped, rich green leaves and lily-like pink/while flowers which grow on leafless stems in autumn. Mixed colours available- white & different shades of pink.

  • Cultivation

    Plant shalowly in early spring in a moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Protect with a dry mulch over winter. Will reach a height of 0.5m and multiply in following years. Nerines does not like to be disturbed and take a while to establish, unlikely to flower in first year after planting. Once settled will flower in autumn providing splash of colour late in season.
