Trachelospermum jasminoides (Star jasmine)

T. jasminoides is a woody, twining, evergreen climber with oval, glossy, dark green leaves, often turning deep bronze-red in winter. In summer, clusters of strongly fragrant, pure white flowers that fade to cream with age. The flowers have a lovely perfume, particularly in the evening.

  • Cultivation

    Plant in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soils, sheltered site. Trachelospermum jasminoides (Confederate jasmine) will reach a height of 8m and a spread of 8m after 10-20 years.
